possible but the combustion characteristics are very different so you will see long term damage to your engine.

No. this is almost as bas as gasoline. Diesels run from heat of compression. Introduce a highly explosive gas into the cylinder, and you will blow up the engine. Diesels run on oil be it petrol or bio.
