I hear many analyst put in 60+ hrs a week. Is the compensation worth it?

I heard of horror stories of people staying all night and putting in an 80 hrs work week. In the end, is it worth it? I mean you can get a job that pays a little less but only requires 40 hrs. Do they get an incredible amount of money?

For an analyst? Depends on if they are paid hourly or want to earn a big promotion/bonus for the extra work. I bet those analysts can work less hours but like to be needed and responsible for more and more work.
