Well here's the thing i'm considering. Without people back then considering advertising as an important medium of super-effective-communication, would they still have come up with a capitalist system that eventually had to depend so heavily on advertising? Now i have no references to back this question up.. yet, but i'd love to hear your opinions.

Well it is the other way round where capitalism has led to advrtising. Capitalism itself has to do with making the most profit in any way possible and is born out of the Protestant Ethics. Thats what led to a Capitalist system. While advertising is from the capitalist system where the 'capitalist' uses the medium called the media to spread distorted images that appeal to the societies thinking. Karl Marx explained it in detail with the Marxist sociologist further expanded it and made it relevant. Just pick up any sociology textbook and read the chapter about marxism. It will tell you most of what you need to know.

If you look at the word capitalism you will understand without thought that advertising is a major part of a capitalist system. Basically, a capitalist system is a system that allows private ownership of business. All business must advertise as part of it natural course of business.
But if you really want to dig deeper, isn't everything, not just business, ruled by advertising?
Sorry that this is kind of messy, but I'm busy advertising. Bye!

No. It's the other way around. The capitalist system gave rise to advertising as people competed for market share and profits.
Just read a few pages of Karl Marx and you will see where he was headed with this.

None apply to Christianity at all. The prefix -ism infers that something is put in a primary position of belief. To do so would be to put God in a secondary position, which contradicts Biblical teaching. You could have fun writing a silly poem with all the rhyming -ism words, but none apply to your question.

Considering today's culture it is because only those with capital and extra cash to pay for advertisment can engage in business almost manipulating every industry

Scratch that-- reverse it.
without a capitalistic competition for consumers, there s no need for advertising.
Makes for deadly boring television. (PBS, anyone?)
