Brentwood is in Northern California about 750 miles or so from Los Angeles. Its's 75 miles from Sacramento and 54 from San Francisco. I am sure Amtrak goes close but I would check with them and Greyhound, the closest towns at 28 miles are Livermore and Walnut Creek. Providing you're not referring to the northern city, Brentwood is a city within Los Angeles so distance would depend on where you want to go. Do you mean Downtown LA? Probably about an hour to two depending on traffic, etc. There are various buses but it takes forever. Try metro.net. Also, plug in the addresses in Yahoo Maps and it will give you directions and time to get there.

brentwood is in northern california. there are trains and bus service that you can take to los angeles. greyhound.com (bus) and amtrak.com (train). it is about 6 hours to los angeles.
