Check the Dell web site. There is probably a driver you need to install for the Windows install to be able to recognize the SCSI drives. They will have install instructions on the site.

In dell Precision series are workstation model.Gx series are Desktop models. In this work station SCSI RAID Controllers
Adaptec ARO-1130C
Adaptec ARO-1302
any one RAID controller will be there. You need the Driver for that.
So you can go dell.com. In your system front or back site one Service tag number is there.just note it down. and go to in dell.com--Support--driver download. Here you give the tag number.there your system drivers will shown.download it. and copy in a floppy.Start windows xp installation.Press F6 at starting of installation. is ask additional drivers floppy.give this floppy. Now your scsi hdd will detect.
