I have heard that in many cases that your eye sight is not restored to 20/20. Does that mean in that case , you cannot wear contact lenses and you have to resort to wearing spectacles?

Yes!
Wait for atleast 8 weeks after surgery
The medication should have stopped 4 weeks ago
The symptoms of dryness should have vanished
Eye-pressure (tension) should have returned to normal

Depends on how bad your eyes are pre-op. I had my eyes lasered 12 months ago and attained better than 20/20 (6/6) within 24 hours. Ask your surgeon he's the only one qualified to answer your question. Your eyes are important do not accept answers from here as gospel. All I can say is its life changing, if your suitable and have the opportunity I'd recommend it to anyone.
