What's best? A swim nappy or a swim suit that covers the top half of his body as well? And where can I get one of those?

Mum and baby swim sessions are brill!
Even if you get a bodysuit, swimming pool regulations will require your babe to wear a proper swim-nappy.

Floaties swim-nappies are very good.

Hey, I'm just assuming you're thinking about swimming-pool stuff, aren't I? You could be about to zoom off on hols to some glam, sunny place... *sighs wistfully*...
In case you're doing so, your little 'un will need a UV-proof suit (plus nappy). Not only will this help keep that tiny body warm (even a light breeze can cool a baby down), it'll also keep the sun off. Quicker than applying suncream and less slippy to hold onto :D

These are excellent: http://www.koolsun.co.uk/acatalog/Polycotton_.html
I know that cheaper ones are available. I got a cheapie suit for my eldest; it rotted in half a season. I got one of these for my youngest and it's been passed on to a friend and is still going strong. If you're not going to use it a lot, definitely go for cheap and cheerful!

You can get swim nappies from most large chemists and supermarkets. My little girl just wore those but if you hunt around on the net and in some stores you can find swimming suits for 3 to 6 months which fitted ok my daughter. The smallest all in one suits are for babies of 1 and half years.

You can get the all in ones, just about anywhere they say baby stuff, try Blooming Marvelous or Mothercare or even some swimming centres have a little shop inside that sells them.
Most Swimming centres these days sell individual swim nappies.
I'd say it depends on where you go and the heat of the pool.
If your in Cuba for instance, just the swim nappy
If your in Freezing England lets go for the all in one

Have good fun anyway, and remember that 10 minutes in the pool is enough of a 2 month old baby, your just getting him use to it not teaching him the breast stoke

Big Smiles
Have fun

Hi,
Swim nappies are easy to get on and off, swim suits can be hard to take of when wet, but they are alittle warmer. You can buy swim nappies from most supermarkets, or good chemists.
I found the best swim suits for babies are from Next.

i have been advised that babies can go in wearing just a swim nappy. huggies little swimmers are supposed to be the best.
i looked into baby wetsuits but they are pricey and not needed if you are going to be in a baby pool that is warm or only in swimming baths for a short time. personally i use a swim nappy plus baby trunks - bought from mothercare.

We take our children swimming and have used swim nappies - they are easily disposed of and are relatively cheap. If you're concerned about sun exposure, just use high factor cream and pop a t shirt on top. Have fun - your little one will love it!

It depends on how cold the water will be. I would just say a swim nappy unless its gonna be chilly. Boots have a good range of kids swimming stuff.

those ones are UV proof too

you can get really sweet ones like wetsuits. id reccomend one of those and a swim nappy and limit the time in the water to 10 minutes.

Use a swimmer swim diaper, and then get a swim suit...they are relatively inexpensive at walmart.

most target's and old navy's sell the one piece whole body swim suit for babies. since he's too young for sunscreen you'll want to cover his entire body as much as you can if you're going to be out in the sun. if you're indoors whatever you put on him will be fine.
