I can't give you specifics, as it's something i've browsed in the past but wasn't too concerned at the time with remembering the distinctions. However, two very good books on the subject are: "Resistance Through Rituals: Youth Subcultures in Post-War Britain," edited by Tony Jefferson and Stuart Hall; and "Subculture" by D i c k Hebdige. Both books deal with the social and cultural aspects of these subcultures, their similarities and differences, and relationships with other groups, with great detail and discussion.
