The word tracheopathy means a disease process of the trachea, so I'm not sure what you are asking about, but tracheitis and tracheobronchitis both hurt to some extent. If you are asking about a tracheostomy, then it very well may hurt if you are awake. Language is like a canvas and words are like the brush strokes, if you mess up the words, then the whole picture changes! I wish I could help you more!

Edit: that is called a laryngotracheoscopy or simply tracheoscopy and yes I had to have one myself once. Nothing like when a doctor becomes a patient is there? Anyway a small fiberoptic endoscope is introduced into your nose after you have had it numbed with lidocaine gel and inhaled some lidocaine as well. The Pulmonologist then looks down into the windpipe after passing through the vocal cords. He examines the cords and then the trachea, he then looks at the Carina which is where the windpipe splits into the Right and Left mainstem bronchi. The Right further subdivides into 3 and then 10 segments. The Left divides into further segments as well. He/she will be looking for any fluid or pus in those subsegments or any raw lesions or even and compressions of the bronchi in order to further evaluate your problems. He may take small biopsies if any abnormal looking tissue is seen and then the Pulmonologist will carefully examine all structures as he pulls out the scope. The whole process takes only about 30-45 minutes at most and it doesn't hurt but you may be hoarse afterwards. Good Luck and I hope that they don't find anything alarming

I had one a few years ago, I was offered sedation but turned it down (I regretted it while I was having it done!!) it didn't hurt but was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever been through and I was trying to pull it out so had quite a few Dr's and nurses pinning me down!
You cant eat or drink anything before you have it done, I had a few sips of water which I shouldn't of as I was gagging and it came out and I got into trouble for that!
It really doesn't hurt though, like I said its just uncomfortable and you will be gagging constantly while its done.
