Fair Play for Jade Goody?

I have witnessed a prime case of Collective Bullying in these columns, the Newspapers, TV pundits and Politicians and in particular the Asians against Jade Goody. No one person should be subjected to such a vicious onslaught of collective abuse.

She was involved in a one on one female spat. MILLIONS are now being incited to vent their spleen on Jade. Is this British FAIR PLAY?

I have noted the venom and hatred directed at her personally. She has been referred to as a *****, White Trash, Pigface, Racist, Bully, Liar and much more. What price Popadom?

We are referred to by the Aussies as Poms, the Americans as Limeys, the Scots as Sassenachs and by Arabs as infidels and by a celebrity in B.B. White Trash.

I would suggest practically everyone has lost their rag at some point and said things they may later regret.

In Jade's case she had suffered far greater distress, not at her mother being evicted, but because she was not allowed to say her farewells. Big Brother edited the spat to attract more viewers. The producers should be in the dock. One psychologist earlier quit B.B. because of its manipulation of the housemates.

The Collective Bullying of Jade Goody should make all involved hang their heads in shame as they are behaving like hypocrites.

How very true, the media and sadly a lot of people on this web site are behaving no better than than the way they are accusing her of, Girls fall out, girls fight I worked 10 years in an all female office and I swore I would never go back into that situation, If your face does not fit it does not matter what colour, size, shape or race you may be your life will be hell.

Channel 4 had full control over what was screened and which rooms were live at any one moment, they had instant sound controls, and for heavens sake if they were able to silence every discussion that mentioned some branded product, or conversation that they didnt like before we as an audience heard it then they could easily have protected these girls, but lets face it what are their lives worth if you can get another couple of million viewers. Channel 4 made Shilpa a target when they deliberately did not put her up for eviction with Carol and Cleo as they should have done, so they introduced a volatile situation into the house and automatic resentment, I notice how people forget how Jade stuck up for the other housemates when they lost a task due to Ken R. I see that DL's Lawyers have now asked for a closer look at the tapes to see just how they were edited.

Despite all that happened or was said, these girls have been used to win a ratings war, and now have been hung out to dry with no thought for their welfare, The press say Jade is in Rehab having had a breakdown, Jo is allegedly no better and Danielle stands to lose her relationship, her work and her life.

What right do any of us have to destroy these poor girls for was a stupid thoughtless couple of days bought on by the pressures of being manipulated by the TV companies.

I challenge anybody to say truthfully that at some point in their lives thay havent said or done something equally stupid or cruel in the heat of the moment that they have not deeply regretted at some later date - the difference is we just didnt do it on the tv...

A storm in a tea cup whipped up by people that want to sell newspapers or prove how wonderfully anti racist they are. Jade alas is a non entity and should be allowed to grow up in peace preferably away from the media.

I put up with people like her all throughout my school life but generally they grow out of it.

However as the wise man said, you can't mix class with no class.

Shilpa and anyone with her manners can live in my country anytime. I may even marry her if she asks. Nicely.

well said, no one is perfect oh apart from the media of course, there surely are more important things to report on eg the amount of our soldiers being killed in combat and third world poverty but the media have concentrated on blowing a daft few remarks into a world wide hypocrisy, the world would be a better place if we all could forgive and give and take a bit more especially on a few daft comments that were not even meant and regretted straight afterwards.

She showed her bullying side the first time she was in the house and used a more offensive name when reffering to Shilpa but I do agree that people are over-racting to this. There was a programme on C4 about extreme Muslim clerics in the UK who deserve much more than Jade Goody is getting but the CBB drama clouded over that issue.

Jade is a stupid woman who deserves criticism but let's put things into perspective here.

Jade is a millionaire and got that way by being controversial in the eye of the media. She deserves all she gets..
As for the rest of your drivel Scotsmen are not Sassenachs that's the English. Racism is what you make of it. It appears only White Western people can be racist.! Seems odd to me. The word Racism is confused with xenophobia and religious hatred People should be honest enough to say what they actually mean....

You're missing the point of the show.... ratings!

I'm firmly convinced if they could murder someone on TV live and get away with it they would. The producers of BB have you and everyone else watching and talking about their show... mission accomplished! To hell with the consequences for the pawns involved.

You go. You have said everything that I agree with. Cannot really say more than that. Thank you. Some one here who sees things sensibly. I don't judge anyone. Jade may not be all there and has said some nasty things but it does not justify what has been done back at her. That makes the general public just as bad.

Jade isn't receiving Fair Play but perhaps if more level-headed people like you spoke up, she would be left in peace for a while.

All I can say is that there are people starving in other countries and dying for no reason, while in the UK our biggest problem is some bitchy fight between two women.
