I mean, you never ever really lose it do you? Sanity is only a set of rules...a blue print to follow

Doing what others don't believe to be logical.
Examples...
1. Talking to yourself. (I only think it's wrong if you are really boring. Why would you want to talk to a really boring person?)
2. Claiming you can see ghosts. There are no ghosts? What about the Holy Ghost?!
3. Claiming you have ESP. I have ESP- N.

Seriously though, if the way that people perceived losing your mind were true, then every visionary in history would be insane.

P.S. If you are poor, you are insane.
If you are rich, you are eccentric.

Well, in order to determine the definition of "losing your mind" - insanity, or going nuts, so to speak, you must first define what is sane.

Personally, I think society dictates what is sane and what is not. The definition and those "set of rules" is relative really...

There is a saying that goes:
