the same exact thing happened to me. You have two options. One: if there are no important files on it, uses the recovery disk included. (this restores your laptop to like it was the day you bought it, so be careful) Two: If there are important files on it, call a Geek Squad agent and they should be able to fix it. I didn't have anything worthwile on mine so it was the recovery disk. But remeber, THIS RESTORES YOUR DEFAULT SETTINGS AND DELETES ALL YOUR SAVED FILES! 3 beeps usually means some kind of hardware failure. If the computer has a removable floppy or cr-rom, try removing them and see if it will start. If that doesn't work, open the memory cover and remove the memory board and put it back in, and try again. (Don't remove stuff without turning off the power!) Beyond that, laptop might need to go see its daddy at the repair depot.

Those are beep codes, there will be pauses and 3 variations of tones, if its beep, pause, beep, pause, beep its a 1-1-1 so look that up on internet. It is usually either your video card, processor, or RAM
