for me,you ask him what he really wants.why he always call you but a lot of times you invited him he has many excuses.tell him that you're confuse.dont open up that you still like him because he would think that you're pushing yourself to him.that's my own opinion but it's up to you....

He sounds like he's just trying to make sure he still has you should he need someone. He doesn't want you to go on with your life but yet he seems to be doing what he wants with his life. I'd just put a end to it once and for all and ignore his calls and get on with you life. Life goes by so quickly so why waste it on a guy who doesn't seem to know what he really wants. good luck ;o)

maybe its his way of saying i wanna be friends with you nothing more, if he doesn't wanna go to the movies and you have not heard from him for a while maybe this is a hint to you to move on with your life cause maybe he has, sending him a sms might cause trouble he might think your hounding him, leave him to make the move if hes going to in his own time maybe he needs to think about it

Invite him to dinner/ lunch and talk to him. You should try to learn why he had been making excuses. Many times guys are not comfortable in a particular situation, like I will not be comfortable if my girl friend dropped in unannounced at home. So talk it out

well, take a wild action & fix him a dinner then ask him honestly about his true feeling.
gotta tell ya , I have a feeling that he wants you back too , but he can`t say it straight!
