My husband and I have been married almost 12 yrs, I see on here that some couples have sex almost every night, I guess we average 1-2 times a week (although we "cuddle" every night). Sometimes we may go 2-3 weeks without sex and sometimes we may go 4-5 times in a week. Is this abnormal...just wondering. I'm ok with it, I would just like some input since I read a lot about some couples having it 5 or more times a week every week.

Two different people, Two different Schedules, Pressures at work, at home, the kids.... etc. Not everyone has the energy to go at it like rabbits every night of the week. If you two are happy and the sex is as loving and energetic as ever then why worry? If you feel you two should be having it more often then start initiating more often with your husband and I'm sure he'll never turn you down!

Well, in marriage there are influencing factors like: bills, work, kids, stress, you name it. So if you have little ones it might be like once a month! lol but if you just got married and have it all new still like everyday, but the bottom line is I have noticed it's like a roller coaster, and you need to go with it when it calls and forget it when it's silent, the drive will push you both when it's time. There is no set amount that's normal, but what is normal is accepting that life effects that as well as all your other moods too, so don't worry it will all work out just be faithful, keep the respect, communication and trust going.

My hubby and I have been married for 13 years and we have sex 2-3 times a week almost every week. BUT...for our friends who have been married that long they say that is a lot. as long as you are happy with your sex life, then it doesn't matter what others say or are doing. As long as the romance is alive and the spark is still there, then I wouldn't worry about it. To me his kissing are enough most times as are his arms around me, so as long as it feels right to you then it's enough!

Yes, it's normal. Believe what you see not read or hear, people embellish, ha we're better because we... and the reality of it is that's what they want they probably sleep in separate rooms. First of all neither of you are hot horney teenagers nor is it new sex. Your comfortable with each other. Be glad and grateful that you cuddle and he's in bed with you and not out trying to be with some one else. If you want to add spice try using toys, or honey dust, maybe body paints.

There's nothing that states you have to have sex a certain number of times. It's up to the couples. As long as your both content that's all that should really matter. ;o)
