I'm Egyptian and when i went to America and Canada some years ago i was shunned and looked upon (in America only) why is that?
note; i went with a touristic visa.

I went 95-96 and , even worse, americans say that our country is like a desert and that we ride camels and live in pyramids. That was a very humiliating experience

it's every where you go pet some places can be funny about other cultures, my friend went to wales once and walked in to a pub and they said sorry your not Welsh we won't serve you. sad society isn't it people still choose not to get along even after every thing thats happend.

there 're always some people who 're quite narrowminded and knows nothing about what happens outside of america. the international news section on local channels is unbelievably short!!! unless if you watch CNN...
which year did you goto america?.....anyways i'm sorry to hear about your experience. try california...it's a great place.
