Mr Steve, regret is afeelng we feel inside for not having done something in particular. regret is to feel sorrow or remorse for (an act, fault, disappointment, etc.) If u feel regretful because u didnt buy a flat. I advise you: don't . Although when we pass through life we get to have chances that we fail to grab yet it's the other open doors which we ignore that we must really regret. We must not blind ourselves from the coming chances and the coming surprises life brings us on the way. We must take every chance and if we fail we must look again , for maybe someday, somehow, we will find an open door to compensate what we lost. So, don't think about this for long. Life (and God) will give you better things to come , better things which might be better and lovelier and has more benefit.
you remind me of an experience i had last year in college. I failed last year yet when i was retaking the whole year i told myself maybe there 's something into it. I did find that it was better for me. Professors changed, the curriculum changed and i got better chances which my friends and colleagues didn't get to have. I didn't brood on my situation for long. I took the opportunity and worked hard knowing that i'm better than others and that what i lost is nothing compared to what i gained.
hope u find the same as i did in life .
GOOD LUCK

Well I think you have an idea what it means, but to me it would be better to regret something you HAVE done, there is always a chance to rectify something you have'nt done, you may get another chance .. after something id DONE, there is no taking it back..
