Jade!! Is this not an insult to genuine depressed people??

Question

In todays Sun it says that Jade has been admitted to The Priory with Stress and Depression. I am rather fuming at this, for people that genuinely have depression, then this is an insult to make out that she 'suddenly' has it because of her now status. She bought everything on herself and it is self inflicted. I think she's just after pity. But i am so annoyed that someone can claim to have depression just like that, to suit her needs.

Obviously those of you on Jades side have never suffered from true depression??

Nostereot, thankfully i don't have depression NOW, (have done in the past, thats how i can relate to people who have and who have had it).

I agree with you about that, I have suffered depression for many years and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, I think perhaps Jade might well be feeling down but that does not mean she is depressed. It like people who have really had the flu and no how awful you feel when you cant even stand up and you hear someone say I feel awful I have the flu, you havent got the flu just a bad cold.

Depression can come on very quickly and for whatever reason... so no-one can really say if she is or isn't depressed... I know if I had suffered the amount of hatred from the UK as she had I would certainly be depressed... but then I try my hardest not to upset people.

It does sound to me like she really needs a holiday a long way away from wherever she can be recognised... but I also think the programme has brought up a lot of issues within Jade that she needs to figure out and The priory sounds like a good place to do that..

The reason they now call it 'depression' is because 'stress' is not really a medical term anymore... my mum is off work due to stress caused by her work-place but the doctor cannot put 'stress' down on the medical certificate so it has to be defined as 'depression'. Noone could deny that Jade is certainly stressed after such an ordeal and this may be the reason why depression has been sited as the cause rather than stress alone.

Depression is such a complicated issue in every individual and, as far as I am concerned, it is far better to give people the benefit of the doubt when they claim to have it as you never know what is going on with another individual.

I've been in the UK for nearly 12 years, and I still get very similar remarks (if not worse) what Shilpa got from unintelligent people here. The difference is, I'm white but still, I am from a different country with different culture. I've done everything to 'fit in' and I have fitted in, but occasionally I still get it, although nowhere near as much (probably because I'm fitting in so well). So would you say that all those people that have been making very similar comments to me are all depressed and 'need help'? I don't think so. Wherever you go, you'll have culture clashes if you meet people of lower intelligence. It's not depression, it's not racism, it's just that they do not understand that other cultures exist and that other people can be just as valuable as british people. I think this has gone way out of proportion, and having been on the receiving end of this kind of venom from many jadegoodies of the UK, I believe it shouldn't have been the main item on the news for weeks now, when there are so many things happen in the world that are far more serious. But by focusing on this issue, the british media are further alienating british people from the rest of the world because they are focusing on domestic problems of this kind only, which are nowehere near as serious as people dying for no reason in other countries.

It's in every paper so it is so obvious that it's been done on purpose. If a celeb wants to have plastic surgery then they are more than capable of keeping it hushed up and in total secret - just like she did with her lipo operation. Jade going into rehab and making sure the the media get the story is another one her attempts to gain public sympathy. She is a total fake and I'm absolutely sick of her.

She is taking up the room of somebody who really could do with help but who probably has been stuck on a waiting list. I'm fed up with this nasty vicious intimidating woman.

FIRECAT read the story properly because if you do then you will she that her going into rehab for this publicity stunt was because of Jack taking the Pee out of her and that tipped her over the edge. They said it's got nothing to do withe the racist events in BB

Its humorous how Danielle and Jade have been rapid to call Shilpa a canines while the observe minger became invented for Jade while she first got here on vast Brother. It may be self inflicted and her own fault but are you not judging her a bit harshly?

The girl is an idiot, you are right there. But if she needs help then she should get help. We cannot just say, she is an idiot and its her own fault so we won't help her. That's just wrong. I am assuming she is paying for it herself. The priory is a place celebs go to. Its her choice or even her doctors decision.

Its not our place to judge, we have not seen her, she could be genuinely depressed.

You are complaining that she is still getting attention, that's because people like you who keep going on about it are giving her the attention.

I suggest its best to let her sort it out at the clinic where she can get help.

I couldn't agree more it's not true depression, it is another shrewd PR attempt to keep her in the news. It so stinks of her a publicity stunt purely because all the papers have got hold of the 'story'. And the reason for this so-called 'depression' is because Jack mimicked her stupid voice and did an impression of her rant at Shilpa Shetty!

So if someone unwittingly stabs themselves do they not deserve medial treatment?

Poor old Jade is an aggressive young woman who shouts before she thinks and probably gets a kick out of the adrenaline rush. Yes she said some stupid things, yes she behaved like a bully and yes her life has been turned upside down as a result.

Lots of people mess up, however, luckily we're not all hung out to dry by the media. I don't know many people who could have survived the days that Jade has had since leaving the house.

She's offered an unequivocal apology to everyone, she's said she is ashamed of her behaviour, she's tried to do everything she can to fix her life. Are we now a nation who does not forgive because it’s just too easy to enjoy watching someone suffer?

I say lay off Jade, she's messed up and has just as much right to fix her mistakes as everyone else does.

Jade was GENUINELY shocked when she left the CBB house.
She didn't realise the fuss she had caused.
It seemed the entire nation wanted her blood.
She wasn't allowed to see her kids when she came out.

Even now people (LIKE YOU) refuse to let her pick up the pieces of her life. Perhaps you should try to get into the Priory yourself and hold the razor blades for her.

You obviously wont rest until she has commited suicide or at least attempted it. Shilpa stated inside and outside the BB house, that she hadn't thought of the incidents as being racism. She also forgives Jade for the comment and actions she made.

With all that Jade has been through, I for one am surprised she didn't get admitted after some sort of overdose.
As for the depression being self-inflicted.
Well those people that are mentally ill are all 'Self Inflicted'. After all it's a mental problem brought on by the way they act (according to you).

People like you sicken me because you join with the mob because it seems like the right way to deal with it. Then when the dust clears and you discover that the person you are 'after' has been seriously affected by YOUR actions, you twist the facts and diagnosis by DOCTORS, into even more ammunition.

I deal with depression on a daily basis.
I am terminally ill. Don't you DARE tell me I know nothing about depression. You are obviously the sort that gets a bit unhappy about something and forces the world to take notice like a spoilt little child.
