Wanting to be with some one and caring about that person more than yourself could be one way of describing love but I am sure that there are many other descriptions. God Bless

Love at first is like a beautiful rose bush, pretty and fulfilling to the heart and soul……

Then it becomes winter and the rose bush will shed it's leaves and all that will be left is a thorny, sharp ugly tangle of brambles ready to sting you at any opportunity.

Love is like enjoying a swim in the ocean on a tropical beach with palm trees everywhere……..then getting eaten by a tiger shark.

This is conventional love I am talking about. Ego, needy love.

True love is not like this. True love is like being an alien species and finding another world and admiring it and totally accepting the aliens for who they are even if we are better then them, Complete, unconditional acceptance - That is true love.

Most other love is controlled by the ego, to fill a void and is usually totally selfish which is why it is flawed from the start…..you have no real love for this person……you are just using them to fill the hole, the make you feel special and needed…….Love like this is dysfunctional from the start and almost certainly destined to fail.

How do you feel. What inspires you the most.? What makes you want to love and share with others.? What makes you want to sacrifice all you are and all you've got for the person you are inlove with? Love is the highest feeling of your being. If you know that emotion, that inner sweet and sincere feelings ,then you know what is love.Love is the relasionship between the rose and the sun. Get that.

God is love! There's no way you will like your fellow human being without loving God who created you and these start by you loving yourself. Are my sounding spiritual?well you may say so but then the truth must be said always. One thing many of us do is that we think love is only reserved for the opposite sex (man/woman,boy/girl etc) but i am telling you that love is mean't for everybody irrespective of your sex, colour, race or even language.

Thank you!

It's a lot of things but you have to be specific. If it's family it's simply unconditional because it's your family. As far as romantic love goes...

It's a lot of things to a lot of people but what people lose sight of is this: It's a RESPONSIBILITY. If you are in a relationship with someone that you "love," you have a responsibility to that person to be considerate of them and their needs/desires. You have a responsibility to not knowingly hurt them. You have a responsibility to apologize and make amends when you do hurt them. You have a responsibility to do everything you can to make and keep them happy...and they have the same responsibility to you. Lots of people lose sight of this because they spend so much time thinking in terms of "me" and not in terms of "us." That's what love is. It's also a lot of work!

Honestly, despite my explanation, I also agree with the first answer you got though. LOL!!!

I would describe love as a form of temporary insanity that allows you to overlook your partners faults long enough to procreate.

i'd say wanting to be with that person more than anything, u sleep eat and think him/her, that nothing else matters its just you in the world alone, that everything is so perfect in life it couldn't be bad with him/her, and when you are apart it feels like someone just pulled the dummy out of your mouth
