well, choosing to go to the MLS..YES, it was obvious he went there for the money (no offence) he could've went to other European clubs which are wayyyyyyyyy better than american clubs....
he left Real Madrid because he didn't have a choice, the stupid coach wont let him play, he leaves him on the bench most of the time....

destroyed his own awesome career of sitting on the bench? he had a great career in his younger years but not any more. all he's good for are free kicks and corners now in the big european leagues. going to the MLS was a very good idea as he could take his game there. he's obviously one of the better players in the MLS, plus the Beckham brand will now be taken the America and tested out. he just might do what soccer greats like pele were unable to do - make soccer one of america's top sports. he gets a nice fat paycheck as well as 90mins on the field, fame and fortune. what more could he want?

No he is at the end of his career any no real chance to star on a top flight Euro team anymore. Real Madrid is in total disarray so staying there is not an option. Going to the US allows him to play out his career without the craziness of European football and make his wife happy at the same time.

I think he took his career to whole new level & it was for the best that he moved from madrid, he will go down in History books for his move to the USA , maybe other Soccer stars will follow him & give the USA Soccer some action because lets face it no one cares about USA soccer but with Beckham there now people will take notice

Yes. However, it did not hurt his pocketbook.

His career has been over for a while now. I certainly hope I am wrong though. I have had nothing but respect for him up to this point.

They have been selling tickets very well due to him going to LA so he has helped Soccer in the US by this move. So my question is "Will he further destroy it by joining the church of Scientology with Tom Cruise"?

His career may have ended with him signing the contract, but he's still a celebrity.

no, i don't think so...
he can play great at LA... perhaps a return move to manchester united would have been great for him, but i think he will be the best player in LA next year.
