I think Oprah is better off the way she is now. She is a powerful person who does make a difference in the things she do to help people. As a president she would have too many bounderies that would hinder her in doing what she does today. Politics in general would make her pay attention to other matters than helping people individually the way she does. As a president she would have to solve problems in a bigger level, such as economy, war, etc...etc. There is no way she could be able to help individuals as she does now.

Being President isn't about helping people, at least not in an altruisitic, charitable way that Oprah seems to be about. Being President is about running a country. International relations, economics, and security are what it is supposed to be about. It seems, in reality, to be more about nepotism, skirting the law, and indulging one's own pet projects than the actual good of the people. I'm hardpressed to think of a better alternative, though. Down with career politicians, though.

If oprah became president, she would be to busy in Africa than focusing on America. She said so her herself that she doesnt like to give to kids here in the states, because all they ask for is Ipods and expensive clothes and shoes.
