Tar and feather your son... that should be your first step.

Get him to search your computer area to find the CD's... if you can (I don't know how old he is).

Then again, it's kinda hard to reformat a computer without some kind of CD - XP doesn't like to delete itself. Melt down, yes, self-destruct, no. Find out what, exactly, he did.

All else fails - call up Sony's tech support and see if they can send you the "restore CD's". Put the first disk in the CD drive then reboot - it will be the first step in getting your computer back up and running.

The disc drives is built in the computer..turn off your computer when it comes on hit F9 keep on hitting F9 until a screen pop up...this will bring your windows system up..and go from there its easy. All sony computers are this way...Hit F9 when reboting your computer
