It seems to be spreading across the web. What platform is Flickr using?

The wikipedia link seems to have most answers.

It's spreading across the web... because that's in the nature of a web! :) I meant: the same technology is being used by other sites so that they appear very similar to Flickr.

I think what I am looking for is web 2.0 technologies. Like ruby-on-rails and Joomla.
Any more help?

Looks like Linux/Apache.

How does something "spread across the web"? Surely it sits in once place, and people converge to it, not the other way around...
