Basically what I'm doing is that I'm giving him a memory box with some stuff I put together for him. I also made him a really nice card with a heartfelt poem that I wrote. I made him a poem book with pictures I have taken as well. : } I'm doing all this stuff because Valentine's is our first anniversary. ♥
Well, I found this great website that has a lot of ideas that people sent in. A lot of great ideas... cheap, creative, sweet. So if you need ideas, here ya go:

It helped me come up with some ideas and stuff.
Check it out!

If you have a great pic of the 2 of you you can get a nice frame for it. That and a few chocolates would be a wonderful gift. Throw a special dinner in there and he'll be over the moon. Heck doesnt have to be anything fancy as far as meal is concerned, just use nicer plates, a few candles, etc.

Romance him! :) Set the placement up with some high-quality foodstuff which you the two get or prepare for him, get candles, purchase a Valentine's Day CD to play, possibly some rose petals (they make scented pretend ones that they generally sell at card shops this time of three hundred and sixty 5 days.) maximum of all merely be with him and luxuriate in the night :)

A day trip to a spa in Baden-Baden. Try Friedrichs bad, it's classic but men and women are separated for most rooms. Caracala Thermal maybe better. You can take a walk at the Kaisers Alee afterwards, it's romantic. They call Baden-Baden as German's Paris for a reason.

Why dont you buy a cheap nighty and do a strip tease for him with some rock music as your inspiration. Dont forget the leather jacket. And make sure you have plenty of whip cream and choclate.
Thats what Im going to do for my hubby. I am in the same as you. We only have one income right now.

I would use Overstock.com. Here's the link for the gift finder. Not too many things on there are too expensive. Plus, you can cook dinner and then give him something from here.
