The USA government has exploded hundreds of Nukes in the Nevada desert and we're still breathing...
Now if someone launched a nuke at someone else...

Atomic bombs have a couple of routes for destruction:
a) Heat.. The heat is localised and can probably kill population in a range of 1-2 km max.
b) Shock -- This is the key element which can destroy buildings like and earth quake does. This is the key factor on which bombs are designed.
c) Radiation and contamination... This is harmful... Can wipe out a full city slowly. They dont make dirty bombs these days
It wil probably take one bomb for every 100,000 humans and I am sure world will never become so bad..

The earth would survive. Even the largest hydrogen bomb detonated by Russia which was 50 megatons caused total distruction over only a 16 mile radius. It would take more than 7 to destroy the earth

If the atom bombs were placed together(almost inside the center of core of earth)it will destroy the earth most probably,and if there there placed at different places it will not destroy the earth.

I DONT AGREE, AT ALL. DEPENDS WHAT YOU MEAN BY NO EARTH. LOTS OF FACTORS INVOLVED. AND WHERE THE EXPLOSIONS OCCUR. BUT THERE WILL STILL BE AN EARTH.
