An old myth is if you eat cheese before you go to bed will cause nightmares but there are many reasons. If you saw something you did'nt like such as a three legged cat or dog. You had a row with some one. Your bed is uncomfortable and lumpy. Broken and shallow sleep.

Hello,
(ANS) Nightmares or bad dreams are caused by unresolved inner conflicts within the human psychie. Nightmares are the result of the mind or psychie attempting to resolve conflicting situations, moral or ethical dilemmas, difficult relationships, or trying to resolve conflicting feelings or conflicts too do with having to make choices in our lives.
**Nightmares or bad dreams are NOT direct messages as such more that they contain symbolic meaning/s. Clues or perhaps you can liken it to an encrypted email, if you understand the langauage of the psychie then its possible to understand the symbolic meaning contained in the dream.
**Nightmares or bad dreams are the way our shadow self reveals itself to us. Normally we are NOT aware of our shadow self, the shadow self is the part of our psyche that is hidden from conscious awareness, we dont see or know of it but it definately exsists. And has extra-ordinary power and impact upon our lives.
**Its a very fascinating subject the shadow self and I could write at length about it but I dont have the time or space here sadly too do that.

something that is going on and you worry about it or do not understand it. Then the mind goes on a spree looking for the worst senario. Coupled with the daily stuff that is not of your own making, the nasy video, the grotty music etc.
The secret to good sleap is seen in the wise monkeys. I see no evil (dont like it dont look) I hear no evil (I am not listening I dont like this) therefore I speak not evil.
Only accept into your life what you like.

dreams are caused by whatever is on your mind. nightmares are just bad dreams, so if your thinking of that may happen to you of you've seen a scary movie, then you may get a nightmare.
to stop getting nightmares, just think of something good or something that makes you happy

When you fall asleep, the last thing your consciousness sees is what you normally dream about, such if you were watching a horror or physchological thriller right before bed, then that stays in your mind and surfaces in your dreams.
