you are in denial about something,and people are in denial because the truth within them is hidden by fear,and pride.
denial is a resistence to the truth.
its natural to be in denial about something,but its very unhealthy to not want to do anything about the denial.

Everything depends on your perspective, what you have been taught and what you believe.
For example, most Israelis are in denial of the fact that Arabs can be good people, and most Palestinians deny that Israel has any right to be there. Golda Meir, a former Prime Minister of Israel, famously said that "There is no such thing as a Palestinian."
George Bush is in denial of the fact that Iraq's mess is partly his fault. Many Arabs are in denial of the fact that Osama bin Laden was responsible for 9/11; they think it was a Jewish or American plot to provide a reason to attack Moslems.
This works even more strongly on a personal, emotional level, especially when a sexual relationship is in trouble.
But the biggest act of denial in the modern world is that so many people don't recognise that they have a Creator!

In these shifting times things are changing ever so faster and quicker; the change that we witness in unprecedented in the entire history of human civilisation. The consequence is that people have lost certainties of the past; changing job, life style, work patters aspirations and anticipations. This is world of possibility where anything can happen. The impact of this rapid transition is that people feel as if they are losing their significance and even their relevance within the very same environment that they have always lived in. When people are doubtful the find difficult o accept themselves in relation to what goes on in the world; they then to deny reality if not entirely but partially in favours of their own self; they like keep what has always been valuable to them as if it still is.

What's wrong with facing the real World? There is no real world ... we create it.. and we change it every moment.
Environment, Nature, age, people nothing remains the same forever.
Even you and I have changed our beliefs. . We don believe wat was acceptable to us in childhood!! Its an ever changing world.
You like something and your friend likes something else... both cant accept the same thing at the same time. Your friend might say "this movie is good" but you may not agree. So you will deny the offer of watching the movie with him on a weekend.
God has given us the power to love, like and dislike so that we can continue our journey of life and find out the mystery behind this "matrix" one day.

Ssometimes that is the only way to cope with life.
Then there are sociopaths who creat their own reality to face their world and the sad part is that they believe their own version of reality

people always want to saty in their own comfort zones... they don wanna go out and explore coz they are afraid they ll fail..
they are not open to ideas and take failures and critisism in a negative way rather than naking constructive use of it in improving their personality. they are living in ignorance for sometimes ignorance is bliss...

They just don't want others to be disappointed with them whenever they're wrong... or... is some cases, they just aren't ready to tell what they know to other people...
