I liked the match cuz i always believed that Maria most of the time wins matchs cuz her rivals are scared to death in facing her celebrity status & her beauty. They play flat against her of fear & complex factors & usually give her gift points.

Yep, she totally blasted that azz and I was ecstatic. Not because I don't like Sharapova. She's a formidable opponent, and she also plays the power game. I really wanted Serena to win because of all the negativity that the critics were throwing her way. She had to overcome a lot in this tournament, and she did it in convincing fashion. I don't know why critics continue to doubt the Williams sisters. I just love it when they prove them wrong.

I think it was an exhibition display of pure determination, focus and "I'm not gonna lose this match" attitude. Serena and her sister, Venus, have come back from the brink of defeat so many times, to win tourneys. Venus faced match points against her when she played Lindsay Davenport in the 2005 Wimbledon final, but pure grit and determination got her through, and Serena was down 1-5 in the final set against Clijsters in the semis of the 2003 Aussie Open, and I think again, to Sharapova in the 2005 Aussie Open semis, but she came back to win those matches and ultimately the grand slam. So that is the difference between someone like Williams who never gives up, and players like Sharapova and Hingis, who just give up midway when they are down a set and a break.. You can just sense the aura of defeat in them and that's just so disappointing cos you know they have given up hope of winning, when it's all in the mind. But of course Serena totally outplayed Sharapova in the Aussie Open final.

I was mad because I thought Sharapova could do a whole lot better but it was a good match.
I liked it except for Maria losing.

I like Maria. saw her on the Letterman show. She's got a little growing up to do but hey, she's just a kid and she's not used to America. As I said, I like her.

Uhm, yeah that and then there's her serve... her forehand, her incredible mental strength, her really good 2hander, or are you critisising her cause she prettier than you are...or is it cause she's won 2 grand slam titles and you haven't... or is it just that she's rich and your not!?
You got serious issues chick! Leave Maria Sharapova alone... you're constant rants and raves are getting me a few points by giving you a bit of a wake up call but it's becoming hellishly boring!
