It definitely is important for an organisation to be open but at the same time an organisation has to maintain discipline.

It has to enforce limits everywhere. But employees should not feel like they work for a school ! Openness is important for a good work culture and environment.

To avoid stagnation, it is a must for an organisation to have a two way communication. Ideas flowing from the bottom and orders flowing from the top will make the organisation an ideal place to work. Moreover, the sense of ' being heard' in the employees will have a lasting impact on their moral. motivation and performance. A participative leadership approach is the order of the day.

If the organisation is not an open system it dies. It is compulsory to have inputs and outputs as any system.
