i heard that hed retired alltogether but then i read on cricinfo hes was still around and was a possibility for wot remains of the current tri-series in aus atm. and apparently he has world cup prospects too?

He has retired from International Cricket and it does not seem likely that he will be recalled . THE Kiwis have other allrounders in the waiting .

Chris Cairns has retired from all international cricket. He retired from test cricket after the tour to England in 2004, and then retired from One Day cricket after the series against the West Indies in 2006.

At times New Zealand may have wanted him back, but with Jacob Oram now blossoming they will not need to worry.
