If your mother board supports overclocking you need to manually change some jumpers to make the 1 Ghz CPU run at a slightly higher clock speed.

For this you need to have the Mother board manual or you can download the manual from the Manufacturers website.

Overclocking can burn your CPU so make sure that there is sufficient airflow in the cabinet, the CPU FAN is running at correct RPM and the heat sink is dustfree.

Once you get the above, the Mother Board manual would show you how to set the Jumpers for which clock speed. You can increase them step by step and work for 1-2 hours and use the last configuration in which the system works stable.

If you need any further clarification please get back to me.

Save up for a new computer. Over clocking is a very risky business and I do not recommend it. You could burn out any or all of your circuts

Not recommended
Just make do with what you have
or save up to make a new PC purchase
