well....I have noticed that fashion is being geared towards current events...I was reading an article about navy influence brought back the sailor navy pants in style for spring in womens collection. There was also a millitary influence: khakis, olive colors in the fall 2006 collection (especially Express stores had olive green editor pants), tan/striped pants, and smokey eyes. Marie Claire last month did an article on alpha-beta relationships where women bring the paycheck home, and there are more men staying at home, so they showcased menswear but tailored to a women's body, heels were shorter in the article. Also, Allure magazine this month did an article about spring 2007 new futuristic clothing (metallics, grays, silvers) with unusual necklines to mark the age of up coming technology. There seems to be eye catching colors in Spring 2006 collection: yellow, red, floral print, skinny crops.
