You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

If it is the latest version of explorer then I too had a hard time with it conflicting with many of my programs and could not uninstall it as well. After talking with dell and they couldn't get it to uninstall, I was told that Microsoft has released it in a beta form, which basically means that we are all testing it out. Normally you have to pay micro soft for tech support but on this you should be able to receive free help. the number that I was given was 866-234-6020. They resolved the problem and we able to locate the necessary files to uninstall the program. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Wow, what a hassle!

I'd call Microsoft tech support, and in the meantime I'd also load in Firefox - it should allow you to surf the net without the annoyances. You might find you like it.
