use the following steps :
go to tools>>internet options
a dailogue box will appear. choose clear history from there.
or
you can clear it from C:\Documents and Settings\cookies

Download Windows Washer from the Internet. It clears all sorts searches be it on the computer or the internet. However, you can also go to Tools > Internet Options > Clear History

hehe . I too faced the same problem . I was in a great problem. Listen it is very easy .
1. Double click the search colunm. then ur search list opens right ?
2. NOw, keep ur mouse pointer on the items of eh search and then blue area will displayed on the topics .
3. Now, let the pointer be there, and now delete one by one and all the items in theb list will bw delted.

Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools > Internet Options
Go to Content > Auto Complete
Click the button Clear Forms
Click ok ok
