There's no doubt about it - Australia. Mainly due to its batting strength. It's bowling attack, while still quite strong, is no longer the best in the world - especially in Test cricket where it will not have McGrath or Warne in its next match.
South Africa possibly has the best attack and are probably the second best team in the world at present. But there's still quite a gap between them and Australia.
