If it's relative, it's not truth, is it? If truth is like a plumbline (the lead thing that hangs at the bottom of a string to show absolute 'straight'), then how can one build a sturdy house with a solid foundation and upright walls if they're constantly bending and stretching the plumbline to suit their own 'relative' views?
I think your question starts with a wrong assumption.
To say 'there is no absolute truth', is trying to make that truth a truth, when you've just said there is no truth.
A dog chasing it's tail. I think, yes.

Relativist? It simply means their are no absolute truths about anything! Take for example a thief. They take other people's belongings because they can and think nothing about the fact that it belongs to someone else. This is how the rationalize their bad behavior. When they are caught and go to jail they are deluded into believing they don't deserve to be incarcerated for a crime. It is at best irrational.

Q. How many relativists does it take to change a light bulb?

A. Forget it. For relativists it is easier to deny the dark than light a light.

Do you mean relativism? That truth or moral values are not absolute but relative to the person holding them? If that is what you mean, I would have to say it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Moral values, maybe, but there are too many absolute truth's in the world for that to even be worth discussion.

It isn't. Its just more bullshit to mix into the pot.
What's wrong with the truth?
Not slanted to any one opinion or another, but just the reporting of the facts as they happened?
To me, this is the absolute best way to record history.

It is not. Any relativism carries it's own refutation in it's own definition.
