I've pasted this right out of wikipedia. I was surprized to see this, I always thought there were more women then men.

Out of the total human population, there are 101.3 men for every 100 women (source: 2001 World Almanac).

The world population is around 6.25 billion. I believe females make up 52%, males 48%. That's what I've heard on several occasions.

last i knew it was 52% female 48% male.. though some places have a ratio more like 75% men to 25% women, but over all.. more women
