I don't believe that the glory of the past is gone. Many times when you are at the top others are simply jealous and will try to pull you down to their level. A large part of the worlds perception that we are a bully is caused by our own elected officals and the liberal media. The Democrats in their relentless pursuit of power and drive towards socialism tear down and smear the good our country does. Instead of backing our troops they find ways to put them down by focusing on the negative things that are an exception to the rule rather than focusing on what we are doing that is good. They would have you believe that our soldiers are nothing more than thugs who rob, rape, and pillage. What they want to call inhumane treatment in the prisons in Iraq and Cuba are a joke. The prisons run by the Cuban government are much worse than Guantanamo Bay could ever be but they don't care about that. They would rather criticize a place where enemy combatants are not over-crowded, get 3 meals a day. The people in these prisons in Iraq and Cuba are prisoners of war. They took up arms against our country, they killed our soldiers. Did you see the German of Japaneese holding trials for prisoners of war during WW II? Did you see the Allies holding trials for prisoners of war during WW II. Were there trials for prisoners of war during the Viet Nam or Korean War. No. you were and remained a prisoner of war til the war ended or you found freedom one way or another or died. That is the reality of war. A prisoner of war has no rights to a trial. Torture or abuse of prisoners of war is a reality. Every country practices it and they do so for one reason. Trying to get information that will save the lives of their own people and maybe end the war even faster. It is only the liberals who want to exploit the realities of war for political gain. They don't care if they smear our country in the process. I can tell you this much....you sure don't hear much from the Democrats or Liberals about the abuses that go on in our own prisons here in the US....Why?....because it doesn't make headlines. You hear all the talk about how many have died in Iraq. Over 3000 in nearly 4 years. WOW! We had 1000 dying a month in Viet Nam while the Democrats were running the war. Maaybe they need to focus instead on how many people are murdered on the streets of our cities every year. Over 16,500 for the same period of time that the war in Iraq has been going on.
You don't see the Democrats or liberal media raising issues about that.

I find it strange that the media in our country only airs what they want us to hear. They say that there is no evidence linking 9-11 to Iraq and Al-Quida to Iraq, but the British Papers have reported these links in documents that have been found. They don't report it because they don't want to do anything that will show President Bush was right. It throws all their credibility out the window and they know that the public will see the democrats for what they really are. Read the links below.

people who stay on the glories of their previous have revealed the weak point of the present. that we've the main stepped forward defense force does no longer mean we've the main skillful defense force. we've not gained a decisive conflict in an extremely long term. we've surely lost some and been inconclusive on most of the others. conflict is changing, yet we are like we've been interior the Early Civil conflict, attempting to apply new technologies and previous strategies. while the yank Civil conflict started, we've been utilising Napoleonic Formations, however the weapons have been lots deadlier and in battles like Shiloh, we lost extra men in an afternoon than in maximum wars mixed. there is definitely no justification for claiming we've the main effective defense force as quickly as we gained't even defeat undemanding insurgencies. I argue incredibly, that our very approaches are those no longer appropriate in any way shape or kind to the present certainty of conflict. the days of two armies slugging it out are long gone-inspite of the shown fact that we nonetheless foolishly look at conflict in Clausewitzian phrases, the place we try to flow the enemy into some grand conflict to annihilate them as quickly as and for all. Granted that would have some validity if we've been dealing with actually armies. if certainty be recommended-and for many an extremely painful certainty-is that the approaches utilized by utilising our enemies extra heavily resemble those of the creative forces interior the yank Revolution, on an identical time as our physique of ideas is such as that of the British Empire. specific, we are the Lobsterbacks in this conflict. the faster we come to phrases with that the faster we can substitute the way we are going approximately this.

Because basically America is a volatile place right now. From there comes all the greatness of life, but also derives all the dreadful lifestyle... Since America ages only more less 600 years old, so America is considered as one of the youngest countries in the world. Yes America helped and helps many thing in this world. America has the big contribution to this world, but at the same time America also really display and portray how shameful, horrendous and wicked they are towards many things in this life. America creates order BUT also chaos at the same time...
They make not only fantastic war movies but also make the REAL wars in reality.... and they do enjoy wars like playing playstation. Yawnn...and this matters because? Let's see, still billions of our dollars are going over seas in foreign aid, billions are going overseas in exports, even more are coming in imports, billions of people scramble to get to the Hollywood music and films. Polls, which are about as useful as used toilet paper say we aren't "popular" since we haven't done things that the rest of the worlds wants. So we aren't the trained guard dog "they" thought we were? And now we have folks here that whining and crying like some kid in High School upset that they aren't the popular kid in school.

We haven't lost our glory. Wars are cyclical. With war always comes discontent. During the civil war, people were ready to lynch Lincoln or to impeach him they were so angry and tired. As for Korea, we didn't lose. Someone mentioned that we lost. There was never a peace treaty signed. Technically the war is still going on. (That's what makes Kim Jong Il so unpredictable.)
Bully? Yeah, we've made mistakes, but I'm quite sure the Europeans and Asians didn't think so when we bailed them out in both world wars.

a political system that is set up and nurtured by dollars verses brains - also the belief that it's way is the best way and that the rest of the world wants to be like it. Needs to have finance reform in its politics to take special interest out and therefore the greed that accompanies it.
