An elderly man suspected his elderly wife was becoming deaf. So, to test this, he entered the room when she was sitting with her back to him and asked, "Honey, can you hear me?"
No response. He stepped a few feet closer and repeated, "Honey, can you hear me?", again receiving no reply.
