In a formal barbie the host usually provides all of the food and side dishes, and you might just bring some wine. However, I would say that if you've been asked to bring some meat, you should bring enough that everyone at the party can try at least one of whatever you're bringing. People want to try one of each at barbies, right?
If it's an inordinate amount of people (more than 30) then I would say just bring one large dish.
Aren't you still recovering from all of the Australia Day bbq? I am!

Just take something top quality to impress. Forget quantity. I live in Germany where is was -10.7c this week, so not many barbies for a few months. When I do get going one thing on my list are whole Bangladeshi fresh water prawns. Or try water buffalo.

Depends on how many of you are going!!!
Chicken kebabs are quick, easy and no fuss for barbeques.
I'd allow at LEAST 3 kebabs per person.
By the way, I recommend the honey soy chicken kebabs or the honey soy beef kebabs!
