I actually have rooted for the undesirable guy in a movie no longer a lot because the strong guy merely pissed me off yet because in a fashion i become hoping the undesirable guy might want to develop right into a strong guy in some unspecified time sooner or later contained in the movie.

Yes I do sometimes. In the movie Hard Rain, Morgan Freeman played a escape prisoner who robbed a Armored Truck. I rooted for him throughout the whole movie. That was one good movie.

Usually when there is no real "good" guy, only protagonists that you kind of feeling some emotion towards. Take Resevoir Dogs for example, I kinda wanted mr white (harvey keitel) to get through it.
