I have heard too many account of strange things from very creditable people to dismiss it. On the other hand, it is not a good idea to shout out, "I believe!" either. If you do, The men in the white coats will call on you soon.
If you feel that your father's presence in with you, then accept it and feel thankful. Many people lose their loved ones and are left alone and afraid of what their futures are going to be like without them.

Yes i believe in ghosts/spirits,and i believe my brothers home is haunted. He lives alone and has experienced some some very strange events. He is not the type of person who is prone to flights of fancy or an over active imagination,he is always very rational and level headed.. I was helping out in one of his stores one morning when he arrived, I was making us both some coffee and he sort of laughed and said "how do you explain this,I woke up this morning and sat on the edge of the bed to put my watch on ( it's the type with a leather strap and buckle fastening),then i went into the kitchen to put the kettle on (he looked at the watch several times, because he knew he had to be at the shop by 9am) ,and made my way too the sitting room, i put the TV on and heard a thud on the floor ,and when i looked down there was my watch, when i picked it up the buckle was still fastened" Hes a big guy 16st,6ft 2 and has big hands,he was wearing the watch and let me see, there was absolutely no way the watch had slipped off over his hand.I couldn't explain how it could have happened and asked if anything like that had happened to him before,he was reluctant at first too tell me,in case he scared me but after some prompting went on to tell me of many other things he experienced, some quite frightning. One of the incidents which happened several times was something lifting the bed clothes and climbing into the bed he could actually see the bed clothes lift and the movement and indentation on the matress as whatever it was got into the bed and climbed onto his chest , it felt like a lead weight pressing down on him, like i said hes a big guy but when this happened he was unable to move the pressure was so great,he said he could feel the presence before it happened and knew after that what to expect when he sensed it.Another thing that happened was as he was leaving for work one morning (there's a stairway leads down to his main door) he was at the top of the stais and he suddenly felt two hands on his back and whatever it was pushed him with some force down the stairs, he didn't fall but was rushed down the stairs the hands still on him untill he reached the bottom, when he opened the door there was an extra strong push, ejecting him out the door. There are lots of other things too, like voices, smells, he said nothing happens for a while and then suddenly these activities start up again. I worry about the actual physical things that happen too him, being pushed down stairs and rendered helpless by some opressive weight would give me enough cause not to want to live there. If you shared a history with the house and the activity seemed harmless or you thought it may be the spirit of a loved one who was there to look over you then maybe i could handle that,he assures me he is ok but i still worry about him.

the truth is no one can really say for sure that ghosts exist or not, and denying it is silly. there's no evidence to prove or to deny their existence, so no one can have a black and white answer.

we know very little about this side of our world, I personally am very sceptical and demand some kind of evidence in these strange cases
but the fact is that there are too many, so there must be something, right?

all I know is that weird things happen, and I can't always explain them

there could be two explanations for this... One, it is your father and he is looking in on his kids.. Im sure he misses you just as much as you miss him. My belief is that things like that do happen. When my mother passed away I always felt her presence. and sometimes still do. It felt like she was holding my hand one time.. But I think that they need to see you just as much as they would if they were gone from you while they were alive. So they come and see us. The other explanation is from my
old phsychiatrist. He thinks that our minds create the feeling of our lost loved ones being around us. It helps us cope with their deaths. So basically we are making their spirits up to comfort ourselves he says. But I think you should look in you heart. If you believe it was your father than you should go with that and welcome his presence.

it's not your father who's there. it could be a halucination on your senses, or your house could have a demon floating around inside.

a ghost is just the spirit of a human that returns to God. it's not the dead men walking you hear in stories.

don't be too quick to assume the paranormal.
