The thousandth place is located three digits to the right of the decimal. Although you wouldn't exactly "round" 22.05 to the thousandth place (since the most accurate digit is in the hundredth place), you nonetheless could increase its accuracy to the thousandth place.


22.05 "rounded" to the nearest thousandth would be 22.050

On a TI-83 plus, go to MODE and then set the float to 3, which should make all your answers have only three digits after the decimal.
