Not enough information...

1. check its plugged into the wall socket
2. check its plugged into the back of the computer (pull it out and put it back in FIRMLY)
3. check if the fuse in your fusebox is ON
4. make sure your wall socket is working (try another appliance - hairdryer)
5. Keyboard is not connected
6. Mouse is not connected
7. Monitor is not connected / ON / or faulty (check its plugged into the wall and into the monitor / and from the monitor to the PC)

assuming you've checked the above...the following will need technical support

8. if you CANT see any lights
a. your ON/OFF switch may be faulty
b. your power supply may be faulty (you shouldnt be able to hear any noise from the back)
9. Motherboard is faulty
10. Harddrive is faulty ... or 101 other reasons

PLEASE check 1 to 7 then should you need more help post another question with more details i.e. starts then after the black writing crashes / starts then while the windows logo is on crashes etc / no noise no picture

Also some boards will not allow to start if no power supply in the graphics card, ie, if you have an AGP 8x that requires its own power supply (like mine) the board will not start. Also check that if you have a 64bit chip that all connections from power supply are matched on the board - ie, the 4 pin thingy (cant remember whats its called) - both accounts have tripped me in the past!!!! :-P
