Why do you break out when its time for "Aunt Flow" to visit?

I thought acne was dirt in your pores. Why do I break out so bad when my visitor is coming?

Not afraid to say it, its funnier that way, besides, so many questions on here about the same thing, I just wanted to be different. I say it all the time, I say "Aunt Flow" for my husbands sake. Hes the one thats squemish about it, doesnt like to know when Im on it, lol, grosses him out. Its just a habit I guess.

Acne is not just dirt in your pores; it's also related to stress and hormones. A good solution: grind some aspirin tablets into fine powder. Clean your face with your normal cleanser, then mix the aspirin powder with water to make a paste and put it on your face. Leave for 1-2 mins and then rinse. You'll see a difference in a few hours, and your skin will feel the softest its ever been. Good luck!

Acne has a lot more to do with hormones than with dirt. Women can often times reduce or eliminate acne problems with some of the birth control pills out there. You can also now take pills that allow you to have only four periods a year, so that even if you do get acne, you won't get it nearly so often. Talk to your doctor about trying the pill to help.

Hormones are on a roller coaster. No way to fight it just keep track of when and then make sure your face is extra clean those days. Drink a lot of water. It helps some.
