The USA is one of a few countries that its residents and guests enjoy freedoms. They always say thank you, and sincerely mean it. Guests are treated well. I just don't understand. Even those who hate our ways use the capitalistic system to finance their agendas then turn around and bash it.

Because a lot of people do not know what they are talking about. Most people who hate or seriously dislike americans have never really been to the USA. Being in the USA for a vacation does not mean anything. There is no heaven on this planet. Heaven is somewhere else. Of course the USA is no heaven on earth. The USA has its problems as well. But it is so much better off than so many other countries. Every country has its good and less good sides. Some countries are better to live in than others. This I am saying also because of the political stability or just of the state that a particular country is in. In the USA itself there are no wars. It is a rich country both in culture and in nature. There are so many different cultures in the USA. There are so many different kinds of natural landscapes in the USA. People have rights. If someone thinks they do not have rights, they can fight for those rights without being persecuted like they would have been in other countries. In addition, I believe, that unfortunatelly many, but not all, people need other people to pick on so that they feel better about themselves. So they choose the USA. Sometimes it is also envy and jealousy from non-americans because there are so many very good aspects about the USA. What happens so often when people are jealous? They become mean and do and say mean things. And of course the USA are always in the news also because it is such a big country. So, they are a focus. That is why people are totally aware of the USA. Since right now the USA is in war and noone really does like war, the war in Iraq is added fuel to those people who already seriously dislike americans. It is true what you say about us americans: Americans do say thank you and mean it and all that. Sometimes this more so than in other countries. But, I have also met some americans who were very rude. Just to be honest about this as well. Last but not least, I think a lot of non-americans do not understand what americans are all about. This is in short my answer to you about your question. I hope I was of some help concerning your question.

You need to differ between Americans and America.
I am one of these people who don't like america, but I have no problem with americans. I have American friends and my sister is married to a wonderful american man.
America's foreign policy is appaling especially since George Bush took over, I'm from Lebanon and to list the things that america took the liberty to inflict to my country wil take a whole day.
Only recently ( July) to get rid of hezbollah, the US helped Israel destroy Lebanon in a shocking way and the plan failed. result : my country is destroyed, 1000 innocent lives lost and Hezbollah are still there.

Americans don't always make good guests in other countries. They tend to be VERY LOUD, ignorant, and pushy.
While our economy needs American tourists, I HATE being stuck with a group (or even a couple) of them.

They don't. They envy us. Thousands of Mexicans risk their lives, some die awful deaths , trying to reach America. Chinese work as slaves to pay off the coyotes who bring them here. Our press manipulates us to believe we are hated because they are largely self-loathing liberals.

they hate us as much as we hate their ways of life..... talk about women dont have their freedom in other countries..or your only allowd to have so many children or they get kills or something
