Hunting. Isn't that sad? I got twice as many responses to my hunting question than to my others combined. I asked how I think that hunters have an overwhelming advantage over animals, and I got so many "you don't know what you're talking about" "elks can kill with their antlers" "first you got to find them to hunt them" (I guess they had never heard of bear and deer baiting) answers. Only a few people wanted to chime in on how it seems western press coverage focused more on Israel losses than on Palestinian losses in that conflict, and how the NRA and Mr. Heston gave regular gun owners a bad name. They would rather tell me I don't know anything about hunting and call me names. I'm sorry, but that is really a sorry commentary about American values, don't you think:? That more people care more about killing animals than people killing each other.

I don't think your experiment says as much about American values as it does the type of person who answers questions at Yahoo Answers...
