Have you ever seen a May Day parade in Pyongyang? Beijing? Moscow? Tehran? Also, several nations before 1963 showed more than just the equipment. They exploded atmospheric nuclear blasts, some as large as 100 million tons of TNT. Sorry you missed the newsreels.

two reasons for nuclear weapons.

1. a deterent: the practical use is to let everyone know you have the ability to wipe thier country off the globe, so they better play it safe and not even try, those who openly admit having nukes will most likely never use them.

2. to actually use them: this is why it is so important to keep an international watchman on the prowl, and to use intel. because someone planning to use nukes will not let thier advisaries know what's coming. half of winning is the element of surprise.

Of course not. Can you imagine the uproar on Faux if the iranians even suggested they inspect our nuclear enrichment facilities? The cons would be screaming and stamping their feet. Hypocrites.

"Fairness" only works in one direction to them.

Interesting point. I think if the UN wants to show fairness, they should inspect Israel.
