OK, I beleive it is Foo Fighters (posibbly Curt Kobain) but I am more sure it is Foo Fighters, they did a remake of another song and I do not know that artist either, but here it goes. bear with me bigtime, cuz I don't know all the word either..
_____ _____ on Baker's street, ------ ------ put away the crack and the one night stands and ---- ------ ----- ----- talk about anything.
You used to think it was so easy, you used to think it was so easy well who's crying, who's crying now?
And then guitar solo.......
Help? Anyone know this

You are correct. Baker's Street by the Foo Fighters
Winding you way down to baker street
Light in your head and dead on your feet
Well another crazy day
Youll drink the night away
And forget about everything
This city desert makes you feel so cold
Its got so many people but its got no soul
And its taking you so long
To find out you were wrong
When you thought it held everything
You still think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But youre trying, youre trying now
Another year and then youd be happy
Just one more year and then youd be happy
But youre crying youre crying now
Way down the street theres a lad in his place
He opens the door
And hes got that look on his face
And he asks you were youve been
You ell him who youve seen
And you talk about anyting
Hes got this dream about buying some land
Hes gonna give up the crack and the one night stands
And then hell settle down
In some quite little town
And forget about everything
But you knwo hell always keep moving
You know hes never gonna stop moving
Cause hes rolling, hes the rolling stones
When you wake up its a new morning
The sun is shining its a new morning
Youre going, your going on

The song is "The Foo Fighters" cover version of "Baker Street".
The Foo Fighters' version is the "B-Side" of the "My Hero" single. Gerry Rafferty did the original version on the "City to City" album I believe. The Foo Fighters' version is also available on an "EMI" record label compilation from 1998, that featured their alternative and modern rock music acts covering other artist from that same label's songs, such as White Town covering Glen Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy" and Belinda Carlisle covering the Sex Pistols' "Pretty Vacant", I believe. Gerry Rafferty's version is also available on ,the greatest hits album, "Right Down The Line: The Best Of Gerry Rafferty And Stealer's Wheel".

The original song is by Gerry Rafferty, 1978, with a saxophone solo. Apparently, Foo Fighters have covered it. See the links below.
