I'm an American living in Europe, so I have to deal with his burdens every single day. There isn't a single day that goes by without someone telling me how much they think my president sucks and what a danger he is to world peace.

What is this burden topic about? Don't blame Bush for the short-coming of our entire upper level of government. Hillary Clinton voted for the war(1), and so did a majority of the Democrats in the House AND Senate. Bush didn't stick us in a war, our representatives did. Everyone needed a scapegoat, and who better to blame than the president. Truth being: We did this to ourselves. We are stuck. We each carry our own burdens. Stop whining(2).

Truthfully? I feel like I'm carrying my own burdens. I suppose it depends on whether or not people see themselves as being too dependent on government and policy instead of being dependent on themselves.
I have never expected government to carry my burdens for me. I'm a individual who is struggling to make ends meet, but I've never blamed it on government. As a matter of fact, I've never even thought about it till you brought it up. But since you did, I can honestly say that I really wouldn't want to exercise my thought processes that much. I'd just rather read scripture and clear my mind of it all.
Truthfully, each president, no matter what party has a great burden and that's all of us. It's when they drag us to a point we'd rather not be is when it would become a burden.

We live in a democracy. Bush leads in a manner in which he believes will give freedom to Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2008, we will again have the right to elect a new president & congressional leaders. It's cyclical. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't. But, I love my country, as we all do--whether we are for or against issues. We want what is best for all of us. We vote our conscience. Bush happens to be our leader. That won't change until 2008. He bears the judgment of history, and so do we.

The threat of a terrorist attack should be a burden to all of us but Bush is carrying us thru this, without much help.

HUH....We were attacked several times in the past and finally one of our leaders had the nerve to stop it. No burden there, just some good old western justice and balls.
