Cullinan 1 would be the answer to your question, if you would have asked this question before July 2003, 'coz that's the time when three diamonds, each roughly measuring 2500 odd carats (can you imagine!) were found in a small village in India (don't know which state). They say, the diamonds are so expensive that even the joint venture of the USA, the U.K. & France could not buy any single one of those! (let alone the chances of other countries). In fact, if India is able to sell them, she would become the richest nation in the world.
Mystery still hangs around as to whom they might have belonged to. Some say it belonged to the dynasty that ruled at that place & they might have left those due to foreign attacks. While others say it was just not discovered. However, they were discovered accidentally by a villager while excavating the floor of his mud-built hut, & now they are kept in some top secret place. The Govt. of India even tries to keep their existence a secret, which you might come to when most of the answers to your question would be Cullinan 1, of some 530 odd carrats.
